Palazzo Marchetti blends the nineteenth century Aeolian style and modern comfort with panoramic views of the vineyards and the cobalt blue sea of the Aeolian Islands. The main feeling is the silence broken only by the tolling of bells and the sounds of nature, surrounded by vineyards and Mediterranean vegetation of Mount Fossa. Palazzo Marchetti has been the home of the "Emigration Aeolian Museum" in Salina until 2010, and it is still the home to major events such as the Salina DocFest, now in its ninth year edition.
